Alex and Gretchen

Engagement Session | Pine Avenue, Long Beach

SUPER DUPER Peek into the ALL out CRAZY FUN I had with these fabulous humans this last weekend at their downtown Long Beach engagement session!! Meet Alex and Gretchen!!! Or better known as the future Mr. and Mrs. Sholteiz!! These insanely RAD souls were referred over by a friend of theirs who is working with my lovely Adam from Unoaked Events on their own wedding… such a small world…and I cannot tell you how STOKED I am to be their photographer!! It all started with our first phone convo… the moment we began chatting I could tell they were my kind of couple… and then they laid the bomb on me… they were having a COSTUME wedding!! YUP… you heard me right… all 200+ guests, including my assistant and I, and them, will be donning a costume for their shindig next week!!! All I could think was “holy sh@8!!!! This is going to be one EPIC party!!” โ €

It was at this moment I knew I might cry if they didn’t book me.. like for real.. ugly cry! BUT… thankfully they made all of my crazy photographer dreams come true, and they said I DO to me! I was a happy girl… And then came the engagement session… OHHH EMM GEEE Y’all!! I cannot even begin to tell you how freaking perfect it really was! We decided to meet up at the Congregation Ale House in Downtown Long Beach, where they had their very first date! We chatted a while, and I talked way too much as usual, and then we were off to explore the city!

So we strolled the streets of the LB, looking for any cool alleys and graffiti walls we could find.. and after getting some great shots in we decided it was time for the BIG GUNS to come out… and we headed back to the car to get them changed. Are you ready for this… Gold and Silver High top LIGHT UP sneakers, custom Mr. and Mrs. Shirts, and FANNY PACKS y’all!!! I think I freaking died and went to heaven at this very moment!! No joke, I think everyone thought they were celebrities because it was CRAZY how many people literally stopped us to ask if they could take pictures with them!! It was AMAZING!! It was like the entire โ€œLB Sunday Funday Crew” was along with us for their session!! The night ended at the BO-beau kitchen + roof tap to grab a few more shots and some yummy drinks… omg… what a day!!!

Chrissy xoxo
