Tombstone Inspired Boho Barn Wedding in Historic Pioneer Town, California

Joshua and Destiny’s OFF THE PAGE western inspired dream day was simply put… MAGICAL! I will never forget the day Destiny let me know that they had found an amazing barn out in the middle of the desert to tie the knot! To say I was in a little photographer “coma” would be an understatement… It was at that moment, I knew this would be epic, and all of my daydreaming of shooting in a real BARN – were about to come true!

The wedding weekend started on Friday with me hopping in the car with the bride and her tribe of maids to head up to a gorgeous desert hideaway that she and her “Joshua” had rented out for all of the wedding party to stay at for the next few days. Let’s just say that 6 hours later, and God only knows how many pit stops – we finally arrived and were ready to get this party started! I think it was safe to assume that we got a little lost and they were getting ready to call out the search parties:) Girls and directions – yeah we don’t mix…

After a nice relaxing evening of some pre-wedding shots and a dip in the insanely beautiful rock jacuzzi, it was time to head to bed and get ready for the big day! The next morning a few more bridesmaids and groomsmen arrived and it was game on once the hair and makeup stylists arrived on the scene.

All dolled up and ready to go we headed down to the infamous Soundstage Barn in historic Pioneer Town. This place was like nothing I’ve seen before! It was straight out of a movie set. Originally it was used as a soundstage for old American Western movies starring Roy Roger, Gene Autry, and John Wayne. How freaking cool is that?!?! Once we arrived it was a mad dash to get the stunning bride up the alter to marry her eagerly awaiting groom.

Watching these two beautiful humans professing their love for one another in front of all those that mean the most to them was something out of a fairy tale… And to be honest, it wasn’t because of the crazy gorgeous venue, or the out of this world florals ( handmade by the bride herself ), or even because of the millions of perfect little western/boho touches that were so perfectly sprinkled throughout the day – it was simply because of THEM.

These special souls have a love that many can only hope for. They are a perfect pair in every way, and more importantly they are an amazing team. Watching them flawlessly work side by side to bring their unique vision of “their” perfect day come together was really special, and it just made me realize that if they can pull something as amazing as that off – then marriage will be a drop in the bucket for them!

Thank you Joshua and Destiny. Thank you for letting me live out my “Dream Barn” photographer fantasies… Thank you for sharing your amazing friends and family with me all weekend, and most of all thank you for allowing me to not only witness, but document your real life HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

Love you guys!
